Baby Steps to Care: Improving Prenatal Follow-Up
This study, "Baby Steps to Care," is looking at whether providing extra resources can help pregnant individuals attend more prenatal (before birth) appointments and increase their knowledge and confidence about pregnancy. If you join, you will receive standard care and be randomly assigned, like flipping a coin, to get a 'Care Box' either during your emergency department (ED) visit or two weeks later. The Care Box contains items like a water bottle, planner, recorder, bus pass, and a stuffed animal, along with a QR code for more resources. We are looking for women aged 18 to 50 who are found to be pregnant in the ED. The main goal is to see if these resources lead to more OBGYN follow-up appointments.
