Buzzy System for Elbow Fracture Pin Removal

This study is looking at whether a device called the Buzzy System can help reduce pain and fear when children have pins removed from an elbow fracture. The Buzzy System is a vibrating ice pack shaped like a bee. Researchers want to see if using the Buzzy System, along with flash cards for distraction, works better than just using flash cards alone. They will measure pain using the Wong-Baker Faces Pain Rating (where children point to faces that show how much pain they feel) and fear using the Children's Fear Scale. Children between 3 and 10 years old who are having pins removed from an elbow fracture can join this study. The study aims to enroll 75 children.
