Comparing Front-of-Package Food Labels in Indonesia

This study is looking at how different food labels on the front of packages affect what people choose to eat in Indonesia. Researchers want to see if "Nutrient Warning Labels" (black octagons showing high sugar, salt, or fat) or "Nutri-Level" labels (letter grades A-D for nutrition) are better at helping people identify unhealthy foods and discouraging them from buying them. You can join if you are 18 or older, live in Indonesia, can read Indonesian, and have bought processed foods recently. The main goal is to find out which label helps people correctly identify foods high in unhealthy nutrients. The study status is currently unclear.

Study design
This is an interventional study planning to enroll 1000 participants. You will be randomly assigned to see either Nutrient Warning Labels or Nutri-Level labels.

    Correct identification of products as high in nutrients of concern will be measured categorically by survey. Response will be coded in a dichotomous 0-1 range, where 1 indicates that the participant correctly identified that the product was high in a nutrient of concern and 0 indicates that the participant did not correctly identify that the products was high in a nutrient of concern.

    How likely participants would be to buy this product in the next week if it were available in a store will be measured by survey. Response options will be on a 5-point scale between "extremely unlikely" (coded as 1) and "extremely likely" (coded as 5), with higher scores representing higher intent to purchase the product.
