Low-risk thyroid cancer grows slowly, and survival is similar across different treatment options. The study aims to see if this decision aid helps reduce decisional conflict (difficulty in making a choice) for patients. You might be able to join if you are 18 or older, speak English, and have low-risk thyroid cancer or a suspicious thyroid nodule. You cannot have had a prior surgeon consultation for this issue, high-risk features, a history of thyroid cancer or surgery, or be pregnant. The study plans to enroll 34 participants, but its current recruitment status is unclear.

Low-risk thyroid cancer or thyroid nodule suspicious for malignancy
English-speaking

Exclusion

Prior consultation with surgeon regarding the thyroid nodule / cancer in question
Cancer/nodule has high risk features (e.g. extrathyroidal extension on ultrasound)
History of thyroid cancer
History of thyroid surgery
Currently pregnant (per patient report)
