Postural Control in Older Adults

This study is looking at how different types of balance training affect older adults. You might be eligible if you are between 65 and 80 years old, can walk for at least 10 minutes without help, and have normal or corrected vision. Participants will do two weeks of balance training on a special platform. One group will train with their eyes covered (restricted vision), and the other will train with full vision. Researchers want to see if training with restricted vision helps people rely more on their body's other senses for balance. They will measure your balance before and after training to see if it improves, especially during walking and when doing other tasks at the same time. The current recruitment status is unclear.

Study design
This is an interventional study with 30 participants. Participants will be randomly assigned to either the restricted vision or full vision training group.
What's involved
You will participate in a 2-week dynamic balance training program. Assessments will be done before training and within one week after the last training session.
Compensation
Not stated in the trial record.
Follow-up
Your balance will be assessed within one week after the last day of training, which is within three weeks from enrollment.
