Study of Colesevelam to Reduce PFAS Levels in Veterans

This study is looking for Veterans aged 25-65 with high levels of PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) in their blood. The goal is to see if a medication called Colesevelam can help lower these PFAS levels. You would take Colesevelam or a placebo (an inactive pill) for 12 weeks. After this, those who received the placebo might get the chance to take Colesevelam. We will measure your PFAS levels at 24 weeks to see if the treatment was successful. The study aims to enroll about 50 participants, but the current status of enrollment is unclear.
