Patient Positioning for Treatment of Proximal Ureteral Stones
This study is looking at the best way to position patients during surgery for kidney stones that are in the upper part of the ureter (the tube connecting the kidney to the bladder). Doctors will compare two positioning methods: the Reverse Trendelenburg Position, where you are tilted with your head down, and the T-Tilt Position, where you are tilted in two directions. The goal is to see which method helps remove all stone fragments more efficiently, mainly by looking at the total time of the surgery. You may be able to join if you are an adult (18 or older) with kidney stones that are 1 cm or larger, or if you have multiple stones, and are scheduled for a specific type of surgery called fURS (flexible ureteroscopy). This study is currently recruiting 54 patients.
