RELIANCE: Moringa in Lactation and Early Childhood

This study is looking at whether mothers who are breastfeeding can increase their milk production and how long they exclusively breastfeed by taking Moringa Leaf Powder. Researchers want to see if this supplement also impacts the health of both the mother and baby. You might be able to join if you are a breastfeeding mother over 18 years old, within 21 days of giving birth to a healthy, full-term baby (born between 37 and 42 weeks of pregnancy). The study will compare mothers who take 10 grams of Moringa Leaf Powder daily mixed into porridge with mothers who receive porridge without Moringa. The main goals are to measure how much milk is produced and how long mothers exclusively breastfeed. The current status of this study is unclear.

Study design
This is a randomized, controlled study involving 100 breastfeeding mothers and their newborn infants. Participants will be assigned by chance to either receive Moringa Leaf Powder or a control porridge.
What's involved
Mothers will consume either Moringa Leaf Powder or a control porridge daily for four months. Milk volume and exclusive breastfeeding duration will be measured at several points over 12 months.
Compensation
Not stated in the trial record.
Follow-up
Participants will be followed for two years after the four-month intervention period.
