Capturing Food Intake During Radiation Therapy for Cancer
This study is looking at how well a mobile app, called myCircadian Clock (mCC), can help people with cancer track their daily food intake while they are getting radiation therapy. We want to see if it's practical and easy for you to use this app to record what you eat. If you join, you'll use the mCC app to take pictures of your food and describe it in your own words throughout your radiation treatment. This study will include 20 participants and is focused on understanding the feasibility of using this app, rather than testing a new medicine. We are looking for adults aged 18 and older who are starting radiation therapy for cancer and own a smartphone.
- Study design
- This is a single-group study, meaning everyone receives the same intervention, and it's not randomized. About 20 participants will be included.
- What's involved
- You will use the myCircadian Clock (mCC) app to document your dietary intake for the entire duration of your radiation treatment.
- Compensation
- Not stated in the trial record.
- Follow-up
- No follow-up data will be collected after your radiation treatment ends.

What this trial measures
- Feasibility of completing mobile food record during radiation therapyThroughout the course of radiation therapy, which can last from 1 to 35 business days.
Investigators hypothesize that it is feasible for patients undergoing radiation therapy to comply with completing a mobile food record. Feasibility is defined as 75% of the participants completing the dietary intake on at least 80% of the days that they are undergoing radiation therapy.
