MoblO2 for COPD and Interstitial Lung Disease

This study is testing a device called MoblO2 to see if it can help people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) or interstitial lung disease (ILD) be more active. If you have been diagnosed with COPD or ILD and use oxygen when you exert yourself, you might be able to join. The MoblO2 device is an oxygen flow regulator that uses an algorithm to control oxygen delivery. Researchers want to find out if using MoblO2 to control your oxygen flow helps you do more moderately vigorous physical activity (like walking briskly or doing yard work) compared to when it doesn't control the flow. The study is currently unclear on its recruitment status and plans to enroll 48 participants.

Study design
This is a single-center study that will enroll 48 participants. It is a crossover trial, meaning you will experience both ways of using the MoblO2 device.
What's involved
You would wear an activity monitor for three weeks. For two of those weeks, you would use study-provided oxygen tanks with the MoblO2 system whenever you exert yourself.
Compensation
Not stated in the trial record.
Follow-up
Your physical activity will be measured for one week with MoblO2 controlling oxygen flow and one week with MoblO2 not controlling oxygen flow.
