Digital Health Strategies for Lung Cancer Screening

This study, called LUNG-IS, is looking at different digital health tools to help more people get screened for lung cancer, especially in clinics that serve communities with fewer resources. We are testing tools like text messages (TM+), a chatbot (CA) to answer questions, educational videos, and patient navigation (RPN and PPN) to help you get to your screening appointment. We want to see how well these tools help people get screened for lung cancer. You may be able to join if you are between 50 and 80 years old, are a current or former smoker, and speak English or Spanish. The study will measure how many people get screened for lung cancer up to 15 weeks after they join.

Inclusion

Current or former, male and female, smokers.
Age 50-80.
Primary language English or Spanish.
Have a phone that can send/receive text messages.

Exclusion

Patients who have never smoked.
Patients who are under the age of 50 or above the age of 80.
Primary language other than English or Spanish.
Do not have access to a phone that can send/receive text messages.
