Understanding Cancer Drug Benefits: A Study for Patients

This study aims to understand how different explanations of cancer drug benefits affect patients' expectations. It's looking at how people with a current or past cancer diagnosis (excluding nonmelanoma skin cancer) understand "progression-free survival" (PFS), which is the time a patient lives with cancer without it getting worse. You'll be presented with different ways of explaining PFS, including those from the FDA and National Cancer Institute, and a plain-language version. Some explanations will also include information about "overall survival" (how long a person lives). The study wants to see if adding overall survival data helps patients better understand the true benefits of new cancer drugs. The goal is to improve how information is shared so patients can make informed decisions. This study is for US adults, 18 or older, who speak English and have had cancer.

US adults 18 years of age and older, fluent in English, and residing in the United States.
