Brief Interventions for Coping with Distress

This study is looking at three different online training programs to help people cope with distress, anxiety, and depression. These programs are: Online, Self-Directed Attention Skills Training with Coaching Support; Online, Self-Directed Attention & Reflective Thought Skills Training with Coaching Support; and Online, Self-Directed Health & Wellness Education Training with Coaching Support. Researchers want to see if these trainings can improve your ability to manage emotions, distance yourself from difficult emotional experiences, and control your attention. You might be able to join if you are between 18 and 65, live in New York City, speak English, have internet access, and experience high levels of worry, rumination (repetitive negative thoughts), or self-criticism. The study is planning to enroll 180 people, but its current status is unclear.
