Youth Emotional and Behavioral Treatment Study for Depression and Anxiety

This study is looking at how Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (a type of talk therapy that helps you change thinking patterns and behaviors) can help young people aged 4 to 17 who are experiencing depression or anxiety. We want to understand what causes these emotional difficulties and how treatment helps. The study will measure improvements in your child's overall condition and how they react emotionally over a period of up to 28 weeks. To join, your child needs to be between 4 and 17 years old and have a diagnosis of an anxiety or mood disorder, or parents report significant irritability or disruptive behavior. Both the child and parent must be able to complete study activities in English. The current status of this study is unclear.
