This study is looking at different ways to use mechanical ventilation (a machine that helps you breathe) in patients who have heart disease and also need help breathing. The goal is to see how well these methods can be used in a cardiac intensive care unit (CICU) and how quickly patients can start on their assigned ventilation mode.
